If you’re not yelling gimme something smooth fi di gyal dem by the end of the track then there is something wrong with you.  Read on to get to know BLUNTS & BLONDES!

Who is someone you would love to smoke a blunt with?

Blunts & Blondes: I would love to smoke with Snoop Dogg. He’s such an incredible example of success and being a respected man all while smoking mad pot.

Where and when did you smoke weed for the first time?

Blunts & Blondes: I smoked weed for the first time in 8th grade with my boy Jesse in my backyard out of a water bottle. Ever since that day I've been hooked.

What kind of music did you listen to growing up and how has it influenced your sound?

Blunts & Blondes: I listened to rap music. I didn't really get exposed to electronic music until later in my life. I knew who Skrillex and Basshunter and shit were but I didn't go to shows or pay attention to it. I listened to rock music, enjoyed Warped Tour every year. I fell in love with hip hop but also fell in love with the energy and vibe you get with a rock show. I think that has had some influence on my music and performances.

Can you tell us about the time you ended up in jail for a mosh pit forming at one of your shows?

Blunts & Blondes: This was bullshit, I was playing a show and I got on the mic towards the end of my set and said “lemme see what you got” type of stuff, and a mosh pit started. I hopped on the tables and the security came up behind me and started yelling at me. He pulled my leg while I was on top of the table so I turned and kicked him. The song hasn't even ended yet and I’m being pulled out of club by security and escorted to the local police. Spent the night in jail, smoked mad weed after.

What was your inspiration behind Smooth Skanka?

Blunts & Blondes: I was on the plane on tour when I started the idea for the track. I wanted to make a hard tune. But everytime I start working on a tune whether its high energy or not, it always ends up turning into smokin blunts type dubstep. As soon I as just accepted that I’m just gonna make smokin blunts music, I just went with that vibe.

What are your favorite munchies:

A) To order

B) To make

C) To grab at a convenient store or grocery store

Blunts & Blondes:

  1. To order, Chic-Fil-A every single time no questions about it. 12 count nuggs, large fry, large diet coke, extra Chic-Fil-A sandwich, no pickles.

  2. I don't make much, but my favorite prepared food when I'm stoned as hell is a cheeseburger straight from the grill.

  3. To grab at a convenient store or grocery store, I love OG chocolate chip ice cream. Fresh cookies is always a nice add on to the ice cream, but, ice cream most important.

What do you have planned next?

Blunts & Blondes: I'm going on tour with my boy Subtronics in January! It’s my first bus tour so I'm super pumped about that. But until then i'm just really working hard to get my EP done. I have so much new music that im getting done for the tour as well. I've been feeling incredibly inspired lately so that's been extremely helpful.

Thank you Blunts & Blondes!

Blunts & Blondes: Thank you guys! And thank you for having me on the compilation. There's a bunch of really talented producers representing Deadbeats and I’m honored to have been included. Thank u guys so much! - Mike
